I just bought a 3DConnexion SpaceMouse. I am building a custom radial menu, assigning existing macros to the radial menu item. When I search for existing macros I get dozens of each macro showing up in the list to choose from. Looking into this I found the settings file at the following path which lists hundreds of macros that are no longer in use in the UI.
C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0\settings\Scheme__Default\Rhino.UI.Resources.rui.default_c7da84fc-2991-4824-832a-4f2509bd0ede.xml
It seems I can edit this file to get rid of all these unused macros, which is a bit tedious, but is there a better way to do this through Rhino?
It seems the result should be only one instance of each macro.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.
Would it be possible to share this xml file so I can get a better understanding of what is going on?
Sure. I zipped it to reduce the size from almost 8MB. Seems this is a huge file for UI settings and can’t be helping start up speed!
Cheers,
Gary
