Dear community, i try to create a circumscribing curve (red) around the (font) curves, probably with and even, adjustable distance to the original curves. My approach in GH is not really satisfying..

Thank you Leopold! It works great the further the circumscribing curves does offset from the originals. For a shorter distance it needs some manual adjustments - but anyway, your script does the trick 
Making 2 offsets
using Clipper (it makes the union) allows to have more rounded curves but as Polyline.
or using Legacy component (now offset in Rhino is more reliable
I did it in Rh9 but must work on Rh8, and possibly Rh7 (but offset was less reliable)
