Changing Print Width of a hidden Line within Layout?

Hi guys,

I’m having diffculties changing the print width of a hidden line within a layout with technical viewport enabled - it clearly differs from the displayed version, I already have “printdisplay“ enabled. I know it’s a pretty basic question, but it seems i’m kinda stuck here. Below the printed vs the layout version.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Julian,

Is it possible to upload a small example of what you’re seeing? There are a lot of options and it’s easier to troubleshoot with the actual file. Thanks.

If I understand correctly, you’ll want to go into the custom display mode and modify the technical line types settings as shown.

thanks, i changed the parameter to 7 now - but of course this affects the line width only. The problem is that the length of the segments does not seem to fit. My goal would be to have the displayed design of the layout, but on the printed pdf. Moreover there seems to be a huge discrepancy in depcition of the hidden lines between printing in raster vs vector, feel free to check out the pdfs below!

ok, i guess i was able to make some progress - there seems to be an issue when printing in high dpi. whenever i use 300 dpi the dots seem to be visible better! still, this can’t be permanent a fix though…
it would be necessary to control the hidden line length, not just the width :slight_smile:
