Changing display colours of objects on Mac

(Roshan Hakkim) #1

Changing display colour of an object such as a curve or a surface can be done just in 2 steps in Windows.
Select object > And change colour in Object properties window directly.

However on a mac for some reason the process is maybe a bit over stretched.
Select object > Change display colour system from “custom” to “by layer” > Then click in a different tab to change colour.

This might seem as a very small issue. But organising and colour coding is quite essential for a pro workflow. Wondering if this can be replicated just as it is in Windows.

Hoping to hear other thoughts in this.

Hello - yeah it is handier on Windows in this case, especially if you use the (short) hard-coded color list in the drop down. Once a custom color is applied though, mac wins by a hair for fewest clicks.
