Is there any way to rebuild surface while changing the direction of the isocurves?
I have a surface where the isocurves are aligned diagonal to the axes. I would like to rebuild with them parallel.
Hi Jim, No… a kind of workaround, assuming the surface is not planar, which is easier of course-
ExtractWireframe
Make a planar surface that has the alignment you want, in the same location more or less parallel to your surface and rather larger. Rebuild this surface to a good number of points - that is per case, but for now saw 15 by 15.
Run Patch and select the extracted wireframe curves.
In the Patch dialog, use ‘Select starting surface’ and pick your rebuilt surface. Set Pull=0, Delete Input = Yes and make the patch…
