Hi John,
just downloaded the version you posted here and started it with the Terminal (“/Applications/Rhinoceros.app/Contents/MacOS/Rhinoceros -RhinoLog”). Immediately i was able to put in my license i got per mail earlier. There was a nice dialog for this ![]()
Now Rhino is up and running. Great!
Here is my log file (as a zip):
Rhinoceros.log.zip (1.4 KB)
Hope that helps.
Thank you for your untiring efforts!
But:
on my MacBook Pro i still have the -100 error.
This is what happens in the terminal:
[quote]Leela-MacBook-Pro:~ leela$ /Applications/Rhinoceros.app/Contents/MacOS/Rhinoceros -RhinoLog
2014-11-17 20:44:10.608 system_profiler[1040:28490] platformPluginDictionary: Can’t get X86PlatformPlugin, return value 0

Do you see a Rhino log in the Console app? If so could you please post the log file so we can have a look at it.
No, unfortunately not…
@jesfro Hrmmmm. If I could interrupt, did you also follows steps 3 - 5 of this post? Was there no log present?
Oh yes!

I’m running my MacBook Pro with SSD upgrade.
There is something special about it: the system was installed on the SSD but the user folder is just an alias wich is inked to the original user folder on the HDD. The application folder is on the SSD.
Maybe this could be a hint?
What do you think about the feedback i received in the terminal?
This comes up after running:
Please look in the ~/Library/Logs section, not the /Library/Logs section. Note the leading ~ that is part of the section name where you should find Rhinoceros.
Same thing. No Rhino section in it…
are you positive you’re in your user Library? (which is hidden by default on OS X nowadays)
• click Finder in the dock
• in finder’s menu bar at the top of the screen, click the Go menu
• press&hold the option key
• a new item “Library” will appear in the list… this is your user library.
• click that library then navigate to /Logs…
still no luck?
Yes. Nothing in console under ~/Library or /Library.
Also “manually” looked in the user library folder and the library of the root directory at the log folders and found no Rhino log files.

The above is what appears in the Terminal after running the command.
Then the error -100 window appears.
BTW I am running windows version under boot camp, that’s all going well…
Come on… I’m on the Mac since 1984…
haha… i don’t know… we’re on the internet
srry
Oh my gosh!
There it is…

turn up your ram cache… you’ll be able to use larger files in rhino.
