As the attached shows, it appears I can either not select or not delete some lines from these make2D objects. None of them are on locked layers. How to delete them?
The answer was to deactivate VisualArq.
Actions previous to this problem were creating a Make2D ceiling plan from a bottom view with levels hidden below the cutline. (Rhino 8 can do reflected ceiling plans but we don’t have a Va for Rhino 8 yet.) The unselectable lines include objects other than the make 2ds, and the issue exists once the levels are all shown.
Hi @djhg,
This is a known behavior of the “Hidden” display mode. It’s a collateral effect of a feature: only visible objects should be selected.
When we first implemented the “Hidden” display mode, as the shaded part of objects are now drawn, objects that are not visible were selectable. In an architectural plan viewport, with a slab that hides everything from levels below, it was almost impossible to work. Try to work in technical or shaded, and you’ll see that the slab is selected as soon as you click inside any room.
If a line is completely hidden or occluded by another line, it will not be selectable.
Unfortunately, we haven’t found a better way to have a workable hidden mode.

You can just switch to Wireframe display mode to select objects, no need to deactivate VisualARQ.
I understand, thanks Francesc.
