With Rhino running, opening another instance from the executable causes the current instance to shutdown without warning. There is no prompt to save work.
I am also using MatrixGold 3.1 and Rhino will not open any files with MatrixGold running. It will get to the splashscreen and then disappear.
MatrixGold isn’t running when I start another instance of Rhino from the executable for the existing instance to shutdown without warning. Is this a common behaviour or Rhino?
No, you can normally run multiple instances of Rhino concurrently without problem.
If you open one instance of Rhino and run the Systeminfo command from the Rhino command line, then copy and paste the output into this thread, you will give us a starting point from which to analyse what is going on.

Menno! You’re a life saver. Disabling the MatrixGold plugin seems to have done the trick. Opening multiple of Rhino and MatrixGold from executables, from files, with no issues! Thank you!
