Can't Find Grasshopper Component

That is a screenshot from a tutorial video.

This is either third-party plugin, a script-component (python, vb, csharp) or a cluster (one component containing multiple connected components inside)

The video I got this from is old and I don’t think the owner will comment back, but in the old comments he said this script was entirely done with grasshopper no third party plugins.

Here is his comment: 'The algorithm is completely written in Grasshopper without using any additional plugins."

This is either a scripting component or a cluster, either way it should not be that difficult to implement the behavior by default GH components.

OK thanks for the help, but that does not answer my question. I understand it’s a cluster component, but how do I create this clustered component?

make a small algorithm of connected (not mandatory to be connected) components select them and right-click somewhere on the canvas and in the context menu select Cluster.

double-click to open it

Correct, but what components go into creating this cluster </>? I understand how to create them and identify them but I would like to know what components make up this cluster.

That’s for you to figure it out .

I have tried and used google for components that are clustered and couldn’t find anything, so I took my question that I thought was simple to the rhino forum hoping somebody would know how to create this component. I didn’t break any of those rules you posted, but thanks for your time.

Stop looking for this component, most likely it doesn’t exist. Figure out what the input and outputs are and create the definition. If you have problems with the definition then ask a question here and you’ll be assisted.

Ok, I understand this component doesn’t exist and needs to be created as a cluster. Next, I know the inputs are dimensional values to scale the previewed model and the outputs are going to tags that have an input for text size. Where I get confused is where the curves input is going on component “</>” I do have a problem with the script its not complete unless I figure out what components are needed to create this cluster.

There are numerous ways to do it, using pipeline or simply he didn’t expose the geometry input to be visibile outside the cluster.

FYI, this is from the comments below the video:

WARNING: be careful with Pipeline if you don’t configure it properly you may crash Rhino (or your PC)

That is not how you do it, but I have figured it out another way using another forum.

They will respond back as that user is active. What you are omitting that aside from commenting

but in the old comments he said this script was entirely done with grasshopper no third party plugins.

is that they commented " This is our paracourse.com lesson" with a link.

The reason it is clustered is because it is a paid prescription series of lessons, the cluster is a way to not self defeat their sales. If you really want to know what is in that cluster, just buy the lessons (they seem quite good for a beginner series). Even if they contact you back, I doubt they would give you it without purchase, wouldn’t really make sense.

How I hate such practice. Beginner knowledge should be available for free.

It is another thing that @namo2275 seems like a guy who doesn’t even wanna try to create his own definition.
I usually help people who at least try.

If I knew it’s a paid course and if @namo2275 hadn’t shown lack of desire to try, I would’ve watch all videos and post the definition just for the sake of justice.

I don’t disagree  and there is tons of free out there as you know. Just saying if you find a paid one there that you really want, and there is no effort made to figure it out, just buy the thing. (Actually, that site also has a whole free intro series as well)

I actually have had something close to this definition I didn’t think I would need to post it to show effort because it’s some simple sliders, few curves, and two tags the main component I was looking for makes up this entire definition. I didn’t know it was a paid tutorial until I got off of a work computer because it wasn’t letting me get to the website. In my previous threads within the forum I have provided a .gh file to show means of effort this one I thought wasn’t needed due to the component needed to make up the definition.

I gave you a link what is important when asking questions. If you have specific question regarding difficulties you have using the software you include a file in the topic description. Do you expect to post a screenshot and everyone willing to help you to spend time re-creating it?

This topic is about missing component, it was concluded such component doesn’t exist.

If you still have a specific question create a new topic, provide enough information and good description what your problem is, I guarantee you will get the help you need.
