As you can see, my outerwalls go through my second floor slab. If i change the height of the outerwalls the floor slab moves with it, that’s good. But still i want my outerwalls to cut out of my second floor slab

I also want to find a solution to parametric move my windows and doors along a x or y vector.
This project is for my graduation period
The definition seems to work without the plugin.
Since you’re on Rhino 8 and you’re using simple Rhino geometry in Grasshopper, you should look into the Grasshopper Rhino components to reference the Rhino geometry in Grasshopper.

Thanks for the help, i am really new to this software. What is the real purpose of querying the different category’s? And what is your tip on making this whole floor plan parametric?
It depends what kind of parametric appraoch you have in mind?
Do you want to modify sliders in Grasshopper or manipulate simple geometry in Rhino and have the Grasshopper model update in real time?
The client’s goal is to be able to generate variations quickly; for example, to be able to quickly change the positions of doors and windows, as well as interior walls and the frame. The company where I am currently interning ultimately needs to be able to change the sliders easily and quickly so that new variations can be generated.
I think manipulating simple Rhino geometry is more intuitive than changing sliders in Grasshopper.
The challenge is to define the right process in Grasshopper so your process never breaks.
I would define a window with a point in Rhino and find the closest point on the building and then. The window size can be saved in the user attributes of the Rhino geometry. This allows quick changes without having to manipulate a lot of sliders in Grasshopper.
How do I create a window from a point? I don’t quite understand what you mean by user attributes yet.
Something like this:

Test model binnen en buitenwanden user text window.gh (26.8 KB)
Thanks for the help. I can’t open your rhino model because it is in Rhino 9. I openend the grasshopper model on my older model and defined a point with the name “window” but it doesn’t appear. Do you know why?
Wait I’ll save the rhino file as 8
The points need the user attributes so the box in Grasshopper has the right size…

Where do i find the user attributes?
Select an object, go to the properties tab. It’s a blue barrel shaped icon
I see now. Thanks for the help! I can change the size of the object now. Is there also an option to change the location of the box?
With this approach you’d move the points in Rhino to change the location for each of the windows.
I understand. Thanks for the help!

I made this for the doors. What am i doing wrong here? I constructed the same thing that you did
