I’ve just discovered a problem with file access in Rhino 8 for Mac. I was creating annotation styles, and I was saving them using “save as template”, but when I would try to retrieve them through “import” in annotation styles they were nowhere to be found. I couldn’t find the templates anywhere on my computer, except when I would open rhino, and I would choose from the template I could see the templates I created there. When I write clicked on one of the templates I created, then clicked “show in Finder” The templates would appear, but there was no path associated with them in finder. I was able to find the path by hovering over the file and holding the option key. However, when I would search the path, I could go as far as “Application support” and from there the “McNeel” file was nowhere to be found. It’s odd that it’s missing but the workaround that I found was to create a templates folder and store the templates there, which I would save in the usual manner, and that way I’m able to access my templates when changing the annotation settings, the same way I would as if I could use the native “save as template”.
I found a workaround instead of using the move command or gumball move. Ordinate responds to the gumball copy (move w/ Gumball + tap Option), so you simply copy the points that define the kink and then delete the input.

To get to these template files via “Finder” you have to make “hidden” files visible. Use Shift+Command+.(=full stop)
Then follow (user name)_Library_Application Support_McNeel_Rhinoceros_Template files
