Cannot import .mxm files to materials panel in Rhino 7 on macOS

Hi

I just upgraded to Rhino 7 and Maxwell 5.2, and I cannot import .mxm files into the materials tab in Rhino on macOS. It is possible to create a new .mxm material in there, just not import.

I figured out how to do in on Windows, click the “Import one or more materials as custom” button, but also on Windows it is not possible to import .mxm files using the + button.

I am moving to macOS, and there is no such button as far as I can see?

What to do?

Thanks,
Kim

Here’s a screen recording of the issue: https://youtu.be/oWGQA4SBrGc

Hi Kim -
You should probably reach out for Maxwell support at the Next Limit site.

Hi Wim

Thanks for your reply - I did reach out to Maxwell support monday last week, and still no answer or suggestion of what to do about this issue.

Floating License didn’t work either, but they gave a temporary fix with a node locked license.

The strange thing is that this works neither on Windows or Mac, but on Windows there’s one other button which can import .mxm files. It almost seems like no one has testet it, how can it be broken on two different operating system, if it’s not an issue with the app itself…

Best,
Kim
