Hello, I was wanting to get the Penguin renderer for Rhino 7, but I can’t find where to download/buy it from Mcneel. I can download Penguin 2.0, but then it asks for a license number which I’m willing to buy if I can find where to purchase/download it from. Is it still available? If not, is there another renderer like it? I want something simple to convey designs quickly and easily in an illustration like format.
Have you explored the Display Modes options shown on the View entry under the Tools pulldown menu: Technical, Artistic, Pen, Arctic? If none of those are to your liking perhaps you could describe the style you favor from Penguin and someone here could donate a custom display mode that does the same thing “natively”. Or if you would like to learn more about custom display styles you could try it yourself.

Thank you, I’ll check into it. It looks like penguin was discontinued, however there seems to have been some discussion about including it as a display mode in the future. Not sure if that is still the case or not.

Some work has been done on getting an illustration-type display mode into Rhino but nothing has found its way into the Rhino 8 WIP at this point and it’s not known when that will do so. Could you share an image of what type of illustration you would want to get out of Rhino?
