I’ve been using the English version of Rhino since I was young, so I’m much more comfortable with the English interface. However, I find the Korean Help panel incredibly useful and prefer to refer to them. Is there a simple option to keep the Rhino system language in English while displaying the Help panel in another language?
*Currently, I manage this by downloading the offline help from the Rhino website and manually renaming the folder to “en-US.” Offline help file downloads are only supported for Rhino 8, so this method is not available for the WIP version.
Hi @Jean-Go - Is this for Windows or MAC. On MAC, Rhino defaults to the macOS language.
On Windows, you’ll need to first download and install the language pack that you want. You can do this through the Add/Remove Programs on Windows > find and modify the Rhino installation.
Once it’s installed, the language will be available through the Rhino Options.
Here’s the process described fro Rhino 6, Adding Languages to Rhino [McNeel Wiki]. It’s pretty similar to the process in Rhino 8. Let us know if you get stuck.
FYI, this has changed in Rhino BETA. You no longer need to download and install the language pack separately. You can simply change the language in Rhino Options.
Thanks for the reply! I just checked, and being able to select any language directly from the Options menu in the BETA version without extra installations is awesome.
The Rhino Help panel is extremely useful for me, but since I’m so accustomed to the English UI, I prefer using the Help panel in Korean while keeping the UI in English. It seems like a pretty niche request, though—maybe I’m the only one looking for this!

The Help panel language is based on the Rhino application language, but it can be changed for offline Help. If you have German offline Help installed, you can rename the “de-de” folder in the following location to “en-us”:
C:\ProgramData\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0\Localization
The English version of Rhino will then load the German Help.
