UX complaint:
I am weirdly annoyed with the selected layer icon in RH8 (Tick box icon)
It does not feel like a button at all, and I keep forgetting to change my selected layer because of this.
I liked the RH7 mac icon much better, it feels like a real button (Radio button)
I wish for a new Icon in RH8 , is there any way to change it ?
to be fair you can now double click a layer to activate it, the active layer will then be bold though it is a bit too subtle the font could be just a slight bit stronger still, at least in dark mode its too subtle i guess light mode having white background might be better. anyway as a result you can hide that column with the check altogether.
thanks ! I didnt realize double click was the way to make a layer active 
even still - it would be nice to have a different icon. The “checked box” icon is not as eyecatching as a radio button.
