Bump with procedural textures

Just out of curiosity, are you planning on expanding the functionality of these material presets in future Rhino versions?
For instance by adding bump maps that could be adjusted on the fly in the material settings (e.g. bump scale, height, depth, noise, grain, distortion, levels, etc.), in order to get for example brushed metal or standard wood effects?
A node-based material editor, like Grasshopper for materials would also be nice.

That you can already do with custom material and procedurals. Granted, you have to drill into the texture, but it is ‘on-the-fly’.

OK, is there a guide somewhere on how to do this?
