Bugged view using Layout

Hi,

using Layout to create 2d view from my 3D model I get weird result, both in Rhino 6 and 7 (see attached)
Also, color on section appears only if I activate shadow.

Hello - Unfortunately, there are no detail views in the layout of the file you posted - can you try again?

-Pascal

you are right, sorry

I’ve deleted the layers with the layout

sorry, my mistake

Hi @pascal, are you able to replicate the issue?

Hello - no… in your image, is the current display mode for the layout itself set to wireframe? It is, here, it just looks like maybe it is set to something else in your image.

-Pascal

Yes, for the layout is set to wireframe, all detail view are in pen mode.

If I try to switch layout from wire to any other type, the issue still remain.

It looks like the page rectangle itself, the ‘paper’ has got out of place somehow - can you please run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the result?

-Pascal

here you are

Hello - the video drivers are not exactly old but I would nonetheless update them to the latest available from the Intel website.

-Pascal

updated the driver…
“…Primary display and OpenGL: Intel® HD Graphics 620 (Intel) Memory: 1GB, Driver date: 4-11-2020 (M-D-Y). OpenGL Ver: 4.6.0 - Build 26.20.100.8141
…”
the issue still remain

Hm - OK, thanks. @stevebaer - do you have an idea? The layout view in the top post - shows the ‘paper’, if that is what it is, all askew. It looks fine here.

-Pascal

I have never seen this before. Maybe getting the display mode customizations would help to be able to repeat this.

the display customizations are as in the attached image

Hi Nicola - can you please export the custom modes from the list and send the resulting ini files?

-Pascal

yeap

Pen.ini (12.5 KB)

the problem appears also in world view:
when you open the file (attached at the beginning), you are in world view and it should be all ok;

then switch to layout and you should be able to see the issue, and also swithcing back to world view you have the following issue

Hi Nicola - I see two things in your images of the layout

  1. The skewed rectangle that appears in the background of the layout.
  2. Lines missing in the detail views.

Are you asking about one, or both, of these?

So far, I do not see the first problem here, nor the problem shown in your last note, with the clipped shading in model views.

-Pascal

Hi Pascal,

I can say that I’m first asking for the clipped shading, that appears both in layout and in model view
Second for the missing color in the section

For the missing lines I’ve just write in another thread, but for me it’s in any case an issue

I don’t know if they are all connected or not.

The issue appears also in the printed pdf from the layout

LayoutBug.pdf (2.3 MB)

I suspect the issue is caused by section plane, because it start to appears when I add them, but it’s only my feeling.

Goodmorning,

with latest version of Rhino WIP I still have the problem of bugged view

Are you still having this issue?
If so, please send a 3dm file and the specific details needed to repeat the problem.

Thanks
