i recently installed the wip9, and today v8 complains that the licence has been moved, but… i am on the same computer all the time, and after re-entering the licence it complained just the same!?
i assume somebody will suggest to simply delete wip9 to solve the issue 
or pls fix it instead?
well it just seemed to have calmed down, but i can not ignore that it happened.
@encephalon is your Rhino 8 license on Cloud Zoo or local?

no not quite, the initial issue is that the licence got lost after i have installed and activated wip 9. what calmed down is that v8 stopped asking to reenter the licence right after i have entered it the 2nd time without changing to wip i mean it asked twice in succession without using anything else. so i am not quite willing to even start up the wip now because i am not a fan of entering licences every time i test it …
its driving me quite nuts and snickers… now i have 2 pop ups at the same time that go an my nerves, i had both wip and v8 open after quitting v8 it knocked me out again.
can somebody please resolve this? entering the v8 licence every time as a penalty for playing with the new girlfriend is really not what a married man is looking for.
maybe this can become a Ménage-à-trois instead of double trouble?
The married man is doing stupid things anyway. Penalty warranted.

right, i missed that, i am having it installed locally
i always get this message seen below in the first image, then i click on find my licence, retrieve it, enter it and in the following step choose “lock to this computer”
then it somehow believes (at least after some time) that i have changed the computer though i have it on the same computer as the same user running.
i am on Sequoia if that makes a difference
after which it again completely messed up my entire UI… FUUUUUU*****************
just in case, the exact same issue has been bothering me in fact since Rhino was in WIP 8 having to reenter v7 and wip 8 licences

I’ll see if I can reproduce this with a local license. Any reason you don’t want to use zoo?
i just added it because i am so fed up of this ping pong, but i would appreciate not having to log in every now and then even though i currently do but that somehow defies parts of the logic of a perpetual licence.
the problem is that it does not happen immediately, it takes say 2 weeks exactly according to the last time it happened i reported it here? though the last time before that it seemed to have been 3 weeks exactly, maybe it coincides with the time frame rhino usually asks for a re confirmation via zoo?
now I am confused, you stated earlier that you are not on cloud zoo, but looking into your account, I see you have moved it to cloud zoo recently. So this issue also happens when you have your license in Cloud Zoo?

idk, since i just added it to the zoo as written above. the issue happened having it not in the zoo for now.
From what I can see you changed to cloud zoo on the 21st, you did not mention that in your last report, hence my confusion.
I guess there it’s not of much use then trying to reproduce it on a local license, especially when it takes 2 weeks for it to potentially show up.
Or are you saying the report you posted today is still from before you moved it to zoo?
i am not aware that i moved to zoo on the 21st, maybe on my old v7 licence on a laptop… but i have not changed anything the last days at all, the issue happened today, but i also did not open the Wip9 for a while, today after a long time again which might have triggered it.
i am not sure how i managed to resolve this in the last version as in the link i posted which exhibited the exact same issue, at some point it just went away.
the initial issue was that it seemed to have thought that the wip 9 and the v8 are installed on different computers which is/was not, its the same mac studio, i had not done anything with v7 on a different computer then so there is some problem.
i can try to take my licence from the zoo again and wait till it happens, is then anything i could help to show what is happening? any spin dump what not?
I had another look, it seems indeed it’s the Rhino 7 license you moved to cloud zoo on nov 21st
I think there is not much I can do right now, other than to wait and see what is going to happen now you have moved everything to cloud zoo. I’ll ask internally if there are more reports of this kind.
