BUG: wallpaper with transparency loads/looks incorrectly in V9

Hi McNeel team, @andy ,

I’m working on updating a script that I use that allows me to add multiple views to a view capture without all the mess and friction of using layouts.

This works great in V8 but in V9 I see that Walp[aper does not show the transparency of a .png correctly.

Here’s the example .png to load as wallpaper:

Here’s how it looks in V8:

and in V9 WIP:

Can you please fix this? Thx!

G

Thanks for your report. It looks fine on my side, and I’m testing it in latest Rhino WIP.

Hi Jessesn,

This was on latest WIP from last week:

Another bug, in the rendered viewport, the wallpaper looks different than the image I’m using. I have a non-transparent image to show you:

Thanks,

G

Thank you again for your testing, but the difference doesn’t look obvious on my side. I can hardly see any difference at all. Could you test it in the latest Rhino WIP? I have PM’d you.

@gustojunk - are you in DirectX or OpenGL display?

hi Dale,

DirectX and that seems to be the problem for:

  1. Transparency:

  1. Faded wallpaper in rendered viewport:
