i just noticed that this does not work anymore, though i use that quite often when i render something i dont use it all the time so i can not recall when that broke.
selecting the undo change from the menu still works

accidentally finding out that somebody reported this issue recently once more is thankfully reassuring, but equally also pretty demotivating when reports like these get ignored…
Do you mean this issue @encephalon
Regression: Home / End / Fn + Left / Fn + Right not working - #6 by brian ?
yes, thanks @CallumSykes for checking
the reason why i am getting frantic is that i have many unhandled bug reports which might have been handled already or not at all somewhere else, but i have no means controlling all of them, i have no personal list that i keep updating and i dont always miss these issues because i have found workarounds not having to wait in some cases years till something gets fixed.
i remember maybe 2 years ago when many unhandled bugreports of mine where stack handled suddenly by @dan in one go, of which 99 percent were already handled somewhere else making all my bugreports look dumb and completely futile. i am not blaming anybody but all that was a bit weird, then such issues like here where i reported a bug 17 days ago which nobody looked at and 3 days ago somebody thankfully reports it again (and more) gets handled and fixed 3 days later triggers me.
yes i know that happens but i have a bit of a strange feeling so forgive me being all neurotic here. but i am getting the general feeling that i should not invest so much time here.
We’re trying to get better at getting back to users about bugs and crashes.
Generally we’ll paste a link from a disco post into the ticket and when it’s fixed you’ll get a nice message. In this case, ideally we would have replied to this post with a link to the ticket and it’d have been updated.
Makes total sense, but ideally of course you’d get updated as soon as it’s fixed so you can use the software properly.
I appreciate your bug, usability reports etc, honestly so I hope you keep reporting them.
This bug in particular was handed to me and it took me a while to figure out the problem and who/where to fix, I didn’t personally see your report here on disco sorry or I’d have linked to two so you got notified. Of course, we do try our best, but we can’t catch 'em all. The release posts list all of the public bugs we fixed, so it might be worth checking them now and then
thanks for fixing it @CallumSykes really good work, every time a bug gets fixed is a good moment for sure! dont let me spoil that.
still running after all the bugs i have reported is more like trying to get to the cheese when all i find is holes. reporting bugs is painful, sometimes you dont realise it, it keeps throwing branches into your legs till you wrap up to finally report it, it takes a huge amount of time and when they lay all over the place unhandled, crickets for sometimes years it is just not inspiring and sometimes astonishing specifically when somebody else reports it later once more and it gets fixed on the spot, also finding out accidentally that its fixed or sometimes i might not even find out at all.
yes i usually read all the fixes, i still might miss some but i can not remember when i have ignored these and simply updated mostly also because i am waiting for many painful bugs to be fixed, where i am still not sure if they ever will be since communication is sometimes close to zero and sometimes strangely ambiguous.
No doubt. Especially well worded, with a video and ways to reproduce.
I know this feeling.
I can definitely appreciate this doesn’t incentivise you to report them, and we really appreciate you reporting them, even when it doesn’t always feel that way.
I’m honestly pretty happy if you report something and get crickets after a week or so @ me directly on the topic and I’ll make sure there’s a ticket linked in the thread when possible. If this gets annoying I’ll let you know but I’m sure it’ll be fine.
i really love your attitude! keep that up!
the issue is that i am trying to be as little intrusive as possible (even though i most likely still am due to the shear amount of time i spend with rhino and here) bumping topics and tagging everybody is not my thing, i only do that once or twice when i really think the person should read, but every time i tag somebody else i get even more crickets some just dont respond at all. i know that when i tag you i have a high chance of reaching somebody but you sure have enough things to do so i will not pick up tagging my best men here any time soon dont worry i know you would not mind but the system should work as a whole, not only in the specific.
The system is some mcneelers frequent disco, some only when the bat signal is activated, other than that is 100% users and keeners.
I check the developer category mostly, I should check Mac more. Please do @ me. I don’t like to see things fall through the cracks, and I very much like to see bugs fixed. Also I need to learn more about the mac code (so I can fix it easier) so this gives me good opportunities to dive in.
