Bug: transform commands extremely slow in R8

Hello!
8.12.24275.15001
There’s a severe slowdown in R8 when translating many objects at once.
Testscene (DXF imported city map):
test map R7.zip (15.7 MB)

Moving or rotating everything takes 2-3 seconds in R7.
R8 locks up and does not seem to do anything. I tested with a small part of the objects, and it worked, but very slow. It doesn’t make a difference if commands are used, or the gumball.

Thanks!

Hold on, I’m testing if this is maybe VisualArq related…
Ok, no. Plugin is disabled, still slow.

Here it is faster, both the preview as well as the actual transform in Rhino 8. I will test in 8.12.24275.15001 as well

I don’t see a difference in 8.12.24275.15001
Can you post your full _SystemInfo?

I do see something different though, opening the file in Rhino 8. Seems that some block textfields are not being read.

Thanks, Gijs!

I’ve just tested again - still slow.

also all third party plugins disabled?

Hi Gijs, just for clarity. Who makes second party plug-ins as well as 1st party plug-ins?
Thanks, Mark

Those guys are hilarious. —-Mark

Yo, found it - it’s the APE (Adaptive Parts Environment) plugin.

Once turned off, problem gone. Well…
Thanks anyway!
