Long time lurker, first time poster, Rhino Novice. While switching from Vray to Rhino renderer, my command line became stuck demanding a “plugin name or ID (Rhinoceros)”. I’ve tried “r”, “rhinoceros”, “vray”, but no avail. I can not save, close the application, or even open menus (can not look under options to see if plug ins are loaded incorrectly). Rendering was working perfectly previously to this, and I had switched from rhino renderer to vray renderer before. The switch back seems to have caused this issue.
Moving my window and changing my viewport/shading seems to have got rid of the plug-in/name text, but all commands are still inoperable.
See attached images.
Something i forgot to mention, going through menu bars and selecting “save”, “saveas” “close”, “open”, manually, anything to show life is not working.
Hi,
I’m not sure what the issue is from the screenshot or your description. Can you start Rhino 7 with a blank file and switch the Renderer?
Hey there Brian, sorry for the late reply, I ended up restarting which fixed the issue. The issue is best shown in the second screenshot, where I could not get rid of the prefix “plug in name or ID” when trying to save, close, etc. In the first screenshot it looks like commands are working properly, but i was still not getting any response from them. Restarting the program fixed this, but i did lose a little bit of progress. Hope this helps!
Okay, I’m glad a restart fixed it for you. If you haven’t already, I’d make sure you are on the last Rhino 7 service release and also the latest Vray plugin version for Rhino 7.
