I have a textured surface, that displays in Rhino 8 nicely in rendered mode, but in Rhino Wip it does not. Selecting and zooming gives this strange effect.

Somehow I cannot reproduce the effect now, the effect is unpredictable. I will send you a pm with the file (that I cannot share here) when it occurs again.
