Bug? Rhino Saves textures of linked files, bloating filesize

I work with linked files and when we 3D scan large areas then the textures can be quite massive. That’s all good, but I notice that Rhino includes these textures into the master file as well, bloating the file.

IMO textures of linked files should not be saved in the master file (the file the linked files are linked into).

Also I find it frustrating that linked files materials seamlessly (alphabetically) infiltrate the master file, IMO it would be a huge help if the materials of the master file always are at the top of the materials list, and then the linked files’ materials are beneath those. (with gray text instead of black, indicating that these are materials that doesn’t belong to the master file)
