Bug - OrientOnSrf doesn't like the pole of a sphere

Hello

Rhino freezes for several minutes when attempting to orient this object on the pole of a sphere.
Singularities are tricky so probably the best move would be to rotate the sphere…
But since it works on the seam, I would imagine it could also work on the pole, or at least throw some error and do nothing.

After five minutes Rhino finally produces… this.

R7 & RWIP same battle.

cool, now i know how to make a quick rose when i need one :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

that does not work probably because its right at the corner of the seam. the mac version is at least smart enough not to permit that spot (so no roses for me unfortunately), all other spots work. if you need that spot then rotate the sphere or orient it somewhere else and rotate the result.

i wanted to suggest splop as an alternative, but the same issue occurs there either, here also the mac version seems to calculate forever, (so maybe still some roses will see)

edit: ha ok that works  i gave it a quick shot, just be aware that when changing the dimensions of that weird rose surface each change takes just as long, but hey for a quick rose not so bad
