The latest WIP introduced a bug. I have a renderscene that I had set up with the wip two weeks earlier. materials rendered without noticeable issues. after the wip update yesterday, I opened the that document again and noticed that the material previews in the materials panel looked way too dark, only metals and shiny things seem to be affected. same effect when rendering (raytraced, optix). then I noticed that the materials render correctly when they are applied by object. just when the material is applied by layer, the bug happens. btw, the objects are in a block definition.
strange that the “dark” look affects the material previews. something is wrong with the reflections, i suspect.
I just tried to repeat the bug with a new file. could not repeat it, though I noticed another bug. on opening a new rh8 file the layers aren’t shown in the layers panel. no layers visible. I can create new ones - those show up. in the object properties, layer dropdown, the layers are visible.
oh and i noticed another bug. in raytraced mode, hiding objects doesn’t actually hide them. need to switch to another display mode, only then hiding works. after saving and reopening the document, all layers show as expected.
