Explain to me like i am 2 years old why LINETYPES dont work in service release 20!

Its starting to feel pathetic that you cant make linetypes work correctly after all this time and numerous bug reportings.
Everything is by layer and yet lines look different in pdf.

I’m afraid that the file you uploaded doesn’t have any layouts nor multiple objects.
Could you post a file that shows what is seen in the screenshots?

Guys: Is there any updates on this for R8? R9?
This getting fixed (or not) is integral to much of the stuff I want to do in Rhino.
I kind of wish it was like the old days where if it was pooched you’d just come out and say it. Then we could work around it. I had a look at R7 recently. I would almost just downgrade but I would have to re-write several lines of Python unfortunately. And lose section styles.
Yesterday I noticed that Print Display is sometimes backwards depending on the display mode. There are lots of theories spinning around in my head. One being that lots of settings are conflicting with one another. For example there is a line weight setting in both the layers and the linetypes.
What would be perfect right now is if I could somehow regress to how R7 handled both lineweights and styles, but retain R8’s section styles.
If things even just got 25% better it would be a huge help.
