I installed Rhino 8 Evaluation SR17 (expired license) and when I opened my Rhino 7, I figured out that running the SetObjectDisplayMode command brings a yellow rectangle that makes it impossible to click on the majority of display modes listed in the Command line. There were no changes in the Rhino 7 itself, just installing Rhino 8.
Hi Japhy! After restarting my Windows 10 and running Rhino 7 again I noticed that the yellow rectangle is no longer there, but the ! _SetObjectDisplayMode still causes a brief flashing in the same area where the yellow rectangle was previously located. That flashing is too noticeable and getting rid of it would be welcome. No matter which 3dm file I open, the flashing is always there.
Here is my system info:

Can you repeat while running Rhino 7 in Safe Mode? The idea is to eliminate 3rd party plugin or video configuration influences, which is our best hope for resolving – there likely won’t be another Rhino 7 update.
I did that, but the Safe mode comes with Wireframe only and will not let me import any display modes. This is why I can’t select any other display mode from the Command line when I run the ! _SetObjectDisplayMode command. There is no blinking at that very moment.
