Bug in executing Stitch command/subd/mesh

Hi

The stitch command is not executed for subd objects and is a bug

Hi
:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::thinking:

Hi
@BrianJ This bug has been added to youtrack

Stitch support for subd is filed as RH-49865 which is an internal report. Check out how it works on a mesh in the Rhino 7 WIP now for an idea of what to expect once it’s implemented for subd.

Hi @BrianJ In the new version
This command only works for vertex bugs and does not work for the subd object

Stitch is having an issue on SubD… it’s back on the pile for the developers. https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-54819

thanks

Hi
This command does not work for Edge either for mesh object or subd

Rhino 7 SR0 2019-10-22 :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Stitch will connect two open edges… what were you expecting to happen on these interior edges?

@BrianJ
Which can also be looped

Thanks, I see the issue now… I filed it as https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-55330

If you preselect the edges and then run Stitch it works now.

Hi
thanks @BrianJ To fix this bug
When we run the Stitch command, its edges are sharpened, but that should not happen.
Some of its faces are gone

Hi

Thanks, there are two issues here as I see it. Filed https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-56340 for the unwanted creases and https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-56341 for holes happening from edge loop input.
