Bug: Gumball hidden in selected dimensions in perpendicular views

The gumball is not visible or selectable in views that the dimension is perpendicular to, as picture below.

I’m using DirectX 12, sysinfo below

I think the primary issue is that a dimension isn’t visible in a perpendicular view.

The confusing bit is that it can be moved despite not being visible…

Anyway, why move the annotation? It breaks history.

Frequent use cases, disregarding history, and disregarding layouts:

  • for dimensions placed in the perpective view for quick presentations
  • sometimes the drawing is set to project to cplane in parallel views
  • or the snaps used are behind another object
  • any case where the dimension is occluded and the user wants to move it in another parallel view
  • move the invisible dimension using SetPt, Move, etc..

We can move planar curves that are almost invisible in some other parallel view, the gumball not beign there for the dimensions feels wrong, I see it as a bug not a deliberate ux choice.
