Bug grasshopper Extremes (X-tremez) component in R24 and R25 version

Hi all,

We’ve encountered a bug in our grasshopper scripts. The Extremes component is not working as expected anymore. High and Low values are flipped.

We are on Rhino R24 and also tested on R25, but this gives no solution.

It is important for us to have these scripts working again asap. Is it possible to share a download link for the R23 version, so we can dot a roll back?

In this case it is visible that the X values are in the wrong order.

Thanks in advance!

Did the Extremes component change? - Serengeti (Rhino WIP) - McNeel Forum

Hi Martin,

I did not see it. For us it is the first time we encounter it. We did not work in WIP.

I found another component which seems to be affected.

Arc SEC

What’s wrong with that one?

Hi,

It is not wrong. It changed. I had to flip the input vectors to get the result i got when we had the R23 version.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the reply and the alternative solution. I’m awaiting the response from McNeel, because the main issue is, that the functionality changed and I need to know if this permanent or not.

following  I also would like to know if I should go in and rewire my scripts containing the Extreme component.

I think I have the Extremes component sorted out now. This should be fixed in the next service release. Thank you for reporting this. Also, I’m almost positive that nothing has changed in the code for the ArcSED component. If you have a working example where it was working one way in Rhino 7 but now works in a different way in Rhino 8, please send that along. Thanks.

RH-90027 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 26

Thanks for the fix!
