i use a short cut for change object layer, when i preselect the object and double click on a layer i have to activate the command twice, the first time is ignored, when i double click first and then select the object the command works as expected.
ortho on off for instance works without issue
is there maybe something wrong with my macro? ! -ChangeLayer Enter Enter but i believe that worked before without having to initiate it twice
that sounds like it was not hooked up properly, actually i had to switch from alt > to alt y because v8 stopped supporting it when you guys made the big changes
oh wait did you try the aliases? no i meant the shortcuts
i can not image that these are related, neither the first nor the second.
maybe there is a misunderstanding…
the command works but i have to activate it twice when using alt y that is the main issue, so it seems to be focus related. when i map a different short cut to it like ctrl y it works at the first instance.
is there maybe a relation here? i dont know why you seemt to get it to work, i am dealing with this issue for several months already.
maybe its language related since i am using austrian german in my general OS settings but have english active in Rhino. either way there is a bug so can please somebody have a look?
also how exactly do you use it? do you preselect an object then double click a new layer and hit alt y?
you did not answer any of my questions and the confusion keeps growing. i dont need a screen capture when it works for you i believe you, it does not work for me and i really need to find out why hope that makes sense?
i believe not and i might have not managed to describe it accordingly to you.
@Gijs would you please be so kind and see if you are lucky if you can repeat it?
you might have different language settings (if that is in issue at all i mean) maybe its a better start?
I mapped ! _-ChangeLayer Enter Enter to Option+Y and that works as intended here in 8.6.24086.01002
edit: actually, I tried again in the order you mentioned and see that it prints a Yen symbol when Layers has focus
I guess that is what @Japhy sees too.
