create a _newFloatingViewPort
the main Rhino UI will disappear.
reactivate Rhino
select an object in the floating viewport - selected object not highlighted…
Just try to do some simple tasks with the floatingviewport and you will see its buggy / useless.

In Windows, there is also the same problem.
I changed the bug report to both platforms but not able to repeat in windows. Please run SystemInfo in the Rhino command line and post your result, thanks.
