[Bug ?] - Changes to UV mapping in source block, no update

a) A sourceFile has an object with UV mapping.
b) A destination file contains instances of the sourceFile (linked, reference)
c) Inside the destination file → double click any block → wait for the source file to load, rotate the UV map in the source file → save → close

d) You end-up back in the destination file, but the block instances did not update their UV mappings.
(The destination file needs to close and reopen for changes to take effect ?)

Same thing happens if the object material is edited in the destination file, then we end up with materials being out of sync and I don’t see a way to revert to original referenced block material unless the instance is deleted and re-inserted ?
