In the command echo I’m getting this:
Command: _Import
I thought I had already disabled the loading of all the Evolute Tools plugins. As it stands now I have to go back to Rhino 4 or open Rhino 5 in safe mode in order to import STL files. Anybody have advice for how to fix this issue?

This thread and menno’s comment gave me insight and a solution to the problem:
While importing, you should select the correct file type from the drop-down list. After installation of evolute, there are multiple file types that can load STL, the evolute loader and the default rhino loader. The evolute loader is listed above the default, so if you don’t explicitly specify which loader you want to use it takes the first one in the list.
