Bridging Mesh Crash

I ran across this bug (crash) on a all meshes I have tried. If I run the bridge command on a mesh I get an instant crash everytime. The crash occurs even if the meshes are duplicates with matching vertices and I try to bridge between them. If I convert it to subD first, it bridges fine.

  1. Create Cylinder
  2. Delete end surfaces
  3. Convert Cylinder surface into mesh
  4. Duplicate mesh
  5. Run Bridge command by selecting the end edges loops.
  6. Crashes the whole program. With crash report.

Hi Jason - thanks for the report, I’ll check it.

@jason like this, correct?

@pascal Yes, I’m having this issue on all meshes that I try to bridge. This example on just a simple cylinder mesh. As a work around i’ve just tried to remember to subd them to get to work. When I forget, I lose my progress. I have been editing more complex meshes that I need to bridge, this is just an example of the operation.

Hi Jason - got it thanks - this blows up on Mac.
