would be very helpful to have Loft command work w Srf
to make simple operations like this quick & straight forward.
(currently, Crv extraction and Loft consumes quite a bit of time, esp w multiple operations)
for those quick tasks you can extrude the surface with the gumball

I think with non planar srf’s, trimming is required
@pascal, can you elaborate on steps after the faces are duplicated , thnx!
the faces are not duplicated, only its borders as closed curve output. so you can use loft or extrude or whatever.
