if you want more feedback on your questions it s impossible to help from a screenshot - so please upload a rhino / .3dm file.
you can drag and drop them in the text edit/writing frame while you type…
… also check your models in boxmode.
toggle boxmode/smoothmode with the → (tab) key.
i recommend to have the starpoint / extraordinary not at the edge:

a good rule of thumb is to have min 8 arround faces if you want to design a closed “roundish” but personally styled edge. The minimum version follows this rule. Starpoints at edges will limit later fine-tuning workflows (bevel or similar)
to be able to influence inner curvature: you will need 2x2 faces at least.
Bridge - Bug
and with the attached file, I can repeat your bridge Issue.
