BREP to MESH fail

Hello,
Starting from srf A I obtain srf B by using two loft commands and dividing the remaining surface with the outline curve of the first loft.
Once I try to convert the merged Brep into mesh just doesn’t work. The error is referred to the trimmed surface.
Please could someone explain why i’ve got this issue?

Thank you so much

Hi Piet -

As the error message explains, that component is not made to detail with that input.

Use the Mesh Brep component instead:

Hi Wim and thank you for the reply.
So the trimmed surface is the problem of that specific component. I tried without the latter and the components both work.

In addition, the “Simple Mesh component” seems to work smoothly compared to the “Brep mesh” with Weaverbird components.

Thank you so much for the helping out

@wim would you have any suggestions on the different behaviors of these two components?

Hi Piet -

Haven’t I already done so?

-wim

Yes of course that one is clear.
I was referring to the second point about the difference in the behavior of the MeshBrep and SimpleMesh components with Weaverbird’s Catmull-Clark subdivision.
MeshBrep returns less smooth geometry with the same parameters…

Hi Piet -

I’m afraid I don’t use that plug-in. Perhaps someone else will chime in…

I see, thank you Wim
