Hello,
I am using the Brep/Plane Intersection command and 4 out of the 5 intersections work perfectly to
waffel struc. attempt.3dm (3.9 MB)
waffle struc. attempt 17.02.09.gh (12.5 KB)
produce closed planar curves. The one in the middle, however, only produces a line at the bottom of the Brep and fails to intersect all the way around.
Why is this happening?

You can visually confirm that they are actually not touching.
And I really don’t think it is necessary to make 10000+6000 planes to test that.
The problem is the middle intersection that lies exactly on the tip of the cone, not the exterior ones.
I tried yesterday some workarounds and could not find any. The intersection also fails in Rhino.
Let’s call this a bug ?
Yea, for some reason the problem is due to it being right in the middle and touching the tip of the cone… guess it could be a bug because with other geometry it works fine.
If it’s not a bug and someone knows how to fix it please help!!
Aha so it is a bug!
Thank you 1) for giving it another try and 2) for showing me what WIP is, I wasn’t aware of it.
