Brazil´s sun can be made visible in the renders?

Hello,

Is it possible to make the sun visible in Brazil in the renders? If so, can the sun´s size be changed ?

Thanks

Joao

Have you tried to add an environment and set it up as a physical sky?
(It’s one of those well hidden features)

Thank you for your reply…Yes, I did that but still sunshine but no sun …<img src=“https://global.discourse-cdn.com/mcneel/uploads/default/14603/76f8ea56b39e45fc.jpg” width=“690” height="43

This is working here but the physical env only matches up with the sun when not using manual control. I’ll see if this is considered a bug… I’m not sure myself if the manual control of the sun should alter the environment.

Brian,

I finally can see the sunset :sunglasses: but only when “geographic settings” are applied. When manual controls are used for the same sun inclination, the sun disappears. Maybe a bug indeed…
Cheers

It works here. But if you use a Rhino Physical sky (set up the environment when RhinoRender is active) then you have to remember to have “Use document sun” turned on.
Then you can use the Rhino sun with manual settings.

This also works if I use a Brazil Physical sky.

But in Neon, due to it’s annoying directional light bug (I still think it is a bug @andy  ) we get this odd light clipping, as Brazil sets the sun close to the objects:

No time to make a tutorial I am afraid, sorry!

Thanks Holo…I made this composite image for comparison:
