Hi. I am new to the program. I’ve been trying for days now to solve this problem. I am trying to model a ship in Rhino and simulate a ship collision with LS-Dyna. LS-Prepost sees bulkheads as a seperate part so when I mesh the ship it creates independent meshes. I am trying to Join or BooleanUnion for the surfaces but I keep getting errors. Any thoughts?

Rhino typically doesn’t allow the creation of nonmanifold objects.
You can try to use the NonManifoldMerge command on these objects. Then extract the rendermesh or create a custom mesh and export that to LS-Dyna.

What file format is being used to transfer to LS-Prepost?
I expect NonmanifoldMerge, then IGES export to LS-Prepost. But the surfaces will probably need to be Stich/join together.
STEP format does not work with Non-manifold surfaces joins.
