Booleandifference with font doesnt give a shaded view

hello, when i try to make this thing for school when u use boolean difference it wont give a shaded or rendered view it makes the top like invisible it seems it is watertight can someone help how to get it right btw it did work with a different front of text.

When things don’t shade in Rhino it’s usually because you have a bad object - the Rhino display mesher can’t figure out how to mesh the object properly, so it only displays in wireframe. Fonts are notorious for having bad curves which can often result in bad surfaces/solids made from the curves. So that is likely your problem. Please post the file in question and someone will look.

please share the rhino / 3dm file.
including the text / font as curves. ( “textobject”)
(not “text” as you need to share the font as well)

just drag & drop it to the text-area where you answer / edit a post.

In my experience Font s are a quite reliable source of bad curves.

thx for responding here is the file

oefening X.3dm (1.8 MB)

in the file i havent done the boolean difference yet but the font is next to it

aha thx very much i replied the file to another response but that maybe it

looks like a meshing-issue.
under properties set a custom render mesh and hopefully that s all you need to do:

does this help ?
