is there a way to check which objects will boolean successfully and which will not? i have a bunch of objects that need to be booleaned, some fail and some will work but if i select a bunch to boolean at once then if some fail all fail and i have to one by one try to boolean each which is a pain in the ass, anyone knows of a better way?
To debug booleans you can find the intersection curves between all objects. Then check if any of these result in open curves and inspect those situations. That might help you on the way.
tried that and selected the objects without the open ends, stil didnt work
i wish there was like a real time display to show which will fail and which will not
In the RH6 WIP, dots are created where the boolean fails. The dots contain more information in the properties tab. You could try to do this in the latest version.
i did, i saw the dots and then avoided those objects but for the ones where the dots didnt show it stil faills
I’m sure McNeel will be interested in that file! Can you upload it here?
… Or is that the same file that you are sending in the “Wirecut fails” thread?
yes sir, already uploaded to Pascal, the full file
