Boolean fails and Showedges and other tools are not helping

Hi everyone,

I have done dozens of these drawings so far, and these are the last two. Maybe I am tired but these two don’t want to play ball. The two solids in C13Corner should be intersected, but only subtraction seems to work, with all other boolean functions failing to complete.

In C17corner, I can’t seem to close the face of the upper solid. I have used surface from planar curves before, but this one is failing. The face of the solid was trimmed by a single surface so all the curves are in the same plane; likewise, I cannot see any gaps in the sequence, but I am guessing there must be one. I used Showedges, and the other tools to try and find gaps, but I can’t see any.

Thanks,
Marco

Hi Marco - C13 Union works here, but otherwise trimming one with the other seems also to work. My guess is the Boolean operations fail because there are coincident edges from each piece.

C-17 fails because the surfaces do not quite line up at the lower corner

Wow, Thank you Pascal. Eagle eye!

I still can’t identify this location on my C17; but what I managed to do was to take one of many drawings I did before and modify it to suit.
I also tried trimming the solids in C13, and I got the outline of one solid projected onto the other, without the excess portion being removed.
I am so curious because I have repeated this dozens of times with no issues.

Kind regards,
Marco
