Impossible to tell what’s wrong from a screen grab - please post file. Use Intersect to get the a (probably) incomplete/open intersection curve - it will tell you where (but necessarily why) things go wrong. It could be co-adjacent faces, naked edges, tolerance issues and a host of other things.
