Block strangeness in WIP

I’m experiencing a similar issue when using WIP build (7.0.20252.11325, 9/8/2020). All the blocks wholly visible in the viewport disappear when I execute a move/rotate/gumball move/gumball rotation. This behavior is limited to the perspective viewport, and I’m experiencing it in wireframe, perspective, rendered, X-ray, and ghosted display modes, but NOT in technical, raytraced, or derivative views.

This issue occurs sporadically, and I can’t get 100% reproducability. It seems to be a function of zoom distance/camera distance to target. The below file seems to exhibit the behavior when the following steps are executed:

  1. Select a block
  2. Hit esc
  3. rotate/zoom/pan
  4. Blocks disappear until they are re-selected (they are still selectable)

The attached example file exhibits this problem for me at the saved view. Hopefully the results can be reproduced if a block (one of the L shaped polylines) is selected, the user hits esc, and then zooms out immediately.

Fortuntaely working in one of the other view modes is an ok-work around for the time being.

Split and moved to a new topic in the appropriate category.

Hello - so far OK here… can you please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here?

Hello - thanks, can you please try disabling the above plug-in in Options > Plug-ins page, then close and re-open Rhino and see if the problem persists?

-Pascal

Yes, I just noticed that when I posted the system info and retried it with it disabled. Resolved the issue, thanks! I’ll go have a chat with our sister company’s developers…

Though if you have any feedback I can pass to them to prevent this from happening as they develop that plugin, it would be beneficial so they don’t accidentally ship that plugin eventually with this error.

Thanks again!

Hello - I do not have anything to contribute myself that might help resolve the problem but of course the developers can contact us and get help -
