Yes, please update. This is definitely a bottleneck. Finding a selected block when there is a large number of blocks is really painful.

Currently a architects are using the Block Edit New plugin to get this functionality: https://www.food4rhino.com/en/app/block-edit-new Seems to be quite useful.
