Hi !
Would it be possible to run Block Edit inside block Edit to simplify the interface when we have two or three levels of nested blocks ?
That would be a great update for Rhino 9 !

Hi Franco -
That request is on the list as RH-30230 BlockEdit - double click within the command to edit sub block
I’ve added your thread.

The plugin; https://www.food4rhino.com/en/app/block-edit-new is fixing this problem.
Would be really nice if Rhino where to intergrade this into stock Rhino
@wim would it be possible to see this in Rhino 9 ?
Hi Sven -
We have several duplicate or near duplicate tickets on the list for something like this. E.g.:
→ RH-30230 BlockEdit - double click within the command to edit sub block
→ RH-60892 Editing nested blocks should be easier in BlockEdit
When features and major enhancements for Rhino 9 were discussed and then selected, block editing was one of the things that were identified for a 9.0 release. To be able to get to double-clicking nested blocks, however, the entire BlockEdit feature needs to be rewritten first. As other projects have gotten in the way of this, I’m not sure how far we will get with this for the 9.0 release.
If you check the release targets for the two items that I link to, you’ll see that the first is on the 9.x list, while the second is on the 9.0 list.
You asked “in Rhino 9”, so currently that is the intention, yes. Whether that will be 9.0 or 9.30 is impossible to say… Personally, I think the 9.0 target is not realistic but I would happily be proven wrong.
