Block Edit - Gumball orientation defaults to world?

Curious if there is a way to have a block keep gumball orientation as in the first picture. . it seems once i open block edit, it defaults to world orientation. . .

Hello- See if this corresponds to what you are seeing: if you have set gumball to align ‘by object’ then it can find the plane of a block instance and align, but once inside BlockEdit, the object selected it not one which has an inherent plane, so the gumball reverts to CPlane orientation, which is ‘how it is’.
